Officer Jeanmary, joined by Officer Denisha Pierre, assaulted Plaintiff, striking him multiple times and slamming his head into the ground, causing him to lose consciousness. Butler was arrested and taken to a precinct instead of receiving immediate medical attention. He was booked under a false name, and his requests for medical care were ignored until he began experiencing seizures several hours later. Butler was then taken to NYU Langone hospitals, where he remained in police custody for five days. \n\nOn June 29, 2023, Officer Ricardo S. Louis allegedly provided false statements leading to Plaintiff's arraignment on felony charges, including assault and resisting arrest. However, the District Attorney failed to present the case to a grand jury, and Plaintiff was released. The charges were dismissed on February 6, 2024.
