Defendants did not have a lawful reason to approach, stop, seize, or arrest the Plaintiff because they did not observe him commiting any crimes, violating the law, or get any information from any witnesses indicating that the Plaintiff participated in criminal activity. The Defendants then violently tackled the Plaintiff to the ground, punched him, and struck him with various unknown objects on his body, face, head, legs, and arms despite the Plaintiff being unarmed and not resisting the officers' actions. Defendants then forcibly tightly handcuffed Plaintiff's wrists and then violently punched, kicked, and struck Plaintiff again as he was defenselessly pinned down facing the ground and handcuffed. As a result of the Defendants' actions, the Plaintiffs suffered substantial physical pain and injuries such as lacerations, contusions, hematomas, and loss of overall movement that caused the Defendants to get the Plaintiff's medical treatment at Kings County Hospital. After receiving medical treatment, Defendants transferred the Plaintiff to the 78th Precinct where he was subjected to an unlawful strip search and attendant cavity inspection by the Defendants. \n\nDefendants then forwarded fabricated evidence stating that the Plaintiff was resisting arrest and trespassing to the Kings County prosecutors so criminal charges could be initiated against the Plaintiff, despite there being no lawful reason to stop, arrest, or use the level of force they did on the Plaintiff.  Plaintiff was ultimately deprived of liberty and freedom of movement because he remained in the Defendants' physical custody or was subject to their restrictions until the dismissal of Plaintiff's charges on April 23rd, 2018. Plaintiff believes that the Defendants committed the illegal acts against him solely because of his race. Ultimately, the Defendants' actions caused Plaintiff to suffer loss of his liberty, irreparable reputational harm, loss of earnings and potential earnings, substantial and permanent physical and psychological injuries, fear, embarrassment, humiliation, traumatization, frustration, extreme inconvenience, and anxiety.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=bhSbIs3S6up7cXchpKo7Vg==","type":"complaint"}]}],"documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21026028-lecorps-5794287b051ac9b0905cdc9ef9f9cdc0ed67246c","type":"brady-giglio","complaints":[{"complaint_id":202003710,"available":true}]},{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/21056207-lecorps-932886_1","type":"brady-giglio"}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/P25H-shapiro-lecorps.jpg","id":"P25H","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/P25H"}
