The officers did not recover any illegal drugs, weapons, or contraband from Plaintiff or from his possession, custody, or control. Plaintiff was nevertheless handcuffed and transported to the precinct. At the precinct, Defendant Officers conducted a strip search where they did not find any drugs, contraband or other illegal paraphernalia from Plaintiff. At no relevant time did the Defendant Officers explain to Plaintiff why he was being arrested. After approximately 14 hours in custody, Plaintiff was transported from the precinct and detained in a holding cell. The Defendant Officers provided the District Attorney's Office with false, misleading and/or incomplete information that they recovered illegal drugs from Plaintiff's possession and that Plaintiff committed a crime. On August 5, 2016, after being unlawfully detained for approximately 17 hours, the District Attorney declined to prosecute Plaintiff.
