Upon arrival, they were approached by the defendants, all dressed in plain clothes, and three unmarked vehicles. The vehicles were used to block-in the plaintiff's vehicle. Plaintiff Goddard, who was in the front passenger seat, was approached by an officer with his hand on his gun. Plaintiff Goddard asked why they were being detained only to be told, \"Don’t ask any questions, listen to him,\" by Defendant Foley.  Defendant Foley then opened Plaintiff Goddard's door and pulled him out of the vehicle. once out Defendant Foley began to put handcuffs on Plaintiff Goddard. Plaintiff Goddard then stated, “Really you’re going to handcuff me in front of my son.” Officer John Doe and Defendant Foley spoke and the handcuffs were removed. plaintiff Goddard was then made to lean onto the back of the vehicle facing away from his son who was in the back passenger seat. \n\nDuring this time, Plaintiff William, who had been driving the vehicle, was still in the car. They asked,\" What did I do wrong?\" and Officer John Doe stated he would explain once they were done.  Officer Jim Doe ordered her to hand him her driver's license. Once she complied, Plaintiff William was ordered out of the vehicle. Plaintiff William then patted her down. Officer Jim then ordered and pushed her to the back of the vehicle. Like plaintiff Goddard, she was made to face away from her child. The defendants then searched the vehicle with the child still inside screaming and crying. At no time were they allowed to receive their child. after 30 minutes of fruitless searches, the defendants let the plaintiff go.
