The defendants awakened Ms. Ortiz and arrested her, reporting to the District Attorney that they found her in possession of drugs and other contraband.  The defendants also made reports to various media outlets that led to stories being written in newspapers and broadcasted on the news that Ms. Ortiz was dealing drugs with members of the Pink Houses criminal enterprise.  The charges against Ms. Ortiz were dismissed and sealed in large part due to a Facebook live video from a bystander that revealed the defendants' reporting of the facts to be false.
