When he declined and attempted to walk away, the defendants forcibly shoved him into a fence and began assaulting him.  \n\nThe plaintiff was beaten by the defendants and additional NYPD officers, including Remon Mikhail, Rayan Mohsin, Darren Lin, Jesse Lawrence, William Jones, James Borrero, and others (defendants). They punched, kicked, and manipulated his limbs, causing a broken elbow, fractured hand, torn rotator cuff, and dislocated shoulder. He was then handcuffed, detained at the 78th Precinct, and falsely charged with assault and resisting arrest. After two days in custody, he was released and immediately sought medical treatment, confirming his injuries. He later underwent surgery and months of rehabilitation.  \n\nAll charges were dismissed on June 30, 2023.
