This protest started before an 8 PM curfew that had been implemented by the NYC Mayor. At or around 7:45, before the curfew became effective, the NYPD \"kettled\" the protesters by forming blockades around them on all sides and thereby preventing them from leaving. At this time, Defendants Sehl, Nin, and two other officers approached and attacked plaintiff, shoving her face into a barrier, grabbing her by the hair, and punching her in the stomach. They then applied zip tie handcuffs to her wrist, tightened them so tightly as to cut off circulation, and arrested her. Plaintiff was then put into a van, wherein she suffered an asthma attack. After she was transported to the police precinct, defendant Dorch falsely swore out a summons accusing plaintiff of knowingly violating the curfew. Plaintiff was released at or around midnight on June 5, and the charges against her were dismissed on September 5, 2020.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.571993/gov.uscourts.nysd.571993.71.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/61625043/rodriguez-v-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Bennett, Stacey, et al. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2013-04-17","disposition_date":"2013-12-27","payout_amount":22500,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"13CV02544","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","officer_name":"Cunningham, Noelle","summary":"On June 9, 2011, Plaintiffs (mother and daughter) were awoken to the sound of drilling at the front door to their shared apartment. Officers disabled the lock to the apartment with a hand-drill and then rammed their way into the apartment. The officers were dressed in full riot gear and screamed at the Plaintiffs to get on the floor. Officers shoved Plaintiff mother to the floor causing her extreme terror. Officers cuffed Plaintiff mother and then burst into Plaintiff daughter's bedroom with guns drawn. Once both Plaintiffs were handcuffed, officers placed them on the couch and asked where the drugs were. Plaintiffs explained that they did not have any drugs. Officers threatened to take Plaintiff's dog away and ruin their home if they did not tell them where the drugs were. When Plaintiffs continued to state there were not drugs in the home, the officers conducted an excessively destructive search of the home. Officers never found drugs in the apartment. After the search of the home, Officer Bennett took Plaintiff mother into her room and conducted an illegal strip search. Officer Bennett then repeated this with Plaintiff daughter. Plaintiffs were then taken out of the apartment and placed in an unmarked police van for 2 hours. Plaintiff mother was removed from the van and questioned about drugs again. When it yielded no result, Plaintiff mother was placed back inside the van. The van then drove around the block 4 times before both were eventually released without charge.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nysd.410681/gov.uscourts.nysd.410681.3.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/13054131/bennett-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Cunningham, Noelle","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2011-10-17","disposition_date":"2015-03-20","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","docket":"308990/2011","name":"Deleon, Johnathan and Pacheco, Myriam J. vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":45000},{"officer_name":"Cunningham, Noelle","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2011-06-16","disposition_date":"2014-05-12","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","docket":"305363/2011","name":"Calzado, Heidy, et Al vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":2500},{"officer_name":"Cunningham, Noelle","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2011-02-08","disposition_date":"2014-03-05","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","docket":"310327/2010","name":"Miranda, Louis, et Al vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":2450000},{"officer_name":"Cunningham, Noelle","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2009-04-07","disposition_date":"2013-06-25","court":"Supreme Court - Bronx","docket":"300821/2009","name":"Rivera, Felix vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":60000}],"documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24441170-bronx-notified-officers-list-edited_redacted-redacted_redacted","type":"credibility-finding"}],"payroll":{"salary":"134819","regular":"116381","overtime":"32810","other":"23750","total":"172942"},"id":"QCPP","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/QCPP"}
