Plaintiff was taken into custody and transported to Central booking, where he was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, and other charges. The search caused psychological distress to Plaintiff's family and harm to Plaintiff's reputation. The search was performed even though Plaintiff had an alibi, confirmed by a surveillance video, placing him elsewhere at the time of the homicide. Plaintiff was released from the precinct without being charged.
