Defendants wrongfully accused plaintiff of breaking and entering into an electronic store in the vicinity. Plaintiff told the officers that he never broke into the said store, and that he was on his way home that was located down the block where he resided with his two (2) minor children. Plaintiff also asked the officer to check the security cameras footage. Defendants then placed plaintiff into handcuffs and proceeded to check the footage, which, in fact, showed that plaintiff did not commit any crimes or offenses. Still, defendants placed plaintiff into handcuffs and under arrest. Defendants then unlawfully searched plaintiff, and recovered no contraband. Defendants then transported plaintiff to the precinct, then to Central Booking, where he remained for an extended period of time prior to being released. While at the precinct, defendants falsely informed the DA office that they had observed plaintiff commit various crimes/offenses. Plaintiff was arraigned, and was finally released from custody.
