Plaintiff opened the door and the officers physically forced their way inside, informing that they were there to arrest Plaintiff's son based on an outstanding warrant. Plaintiff's son said he would go with the officers but needed to get his shoes. Then, the officers began to search every room of the apartment without a warrant, claiming they had recovered marijuana from the apartment. The officers seized approximately $3,280 in cash from Plaintiffs. Plaintiffs were taken to the precinct, then central booking, and were arraigned on January 8, 2016 at approximately 10:00 PM and charged with offenses relating to possession of a weapon and marijuana. The officers forwarded fabricated and false evidence to the DA's office and withheld exculpatory evidence.
