The defendant was stopped on the false allegation that his number plate was faulty, pursuant to which the plaintiff was allowed to take a picture of the number plate to show that the allegation was false. The defendants then falsely accused the plaintiff of having a blade on him (which was on him due to his profession as a workman) and illegally searched the plaintiff. The plaintiff's hands were then contorted behind his back and then handcuffed in an excessively tight fashion. The plaintiff was then taken to the 46th Precinct where the plaintiff was fingerprinted, photographed, strip-searched and detained for approximately two days.
