At approximately 9:00 p.m. Plaintiff and her friends decided to stop protesting and return home via the subway. As they were walking to the subway the group was suddenly surrounded by POs without cause. POs asked Plaintiff's friend for her identification and once provided POs issued the friend a criminal summons for an unknown reason. Plaintiff asked why her friend was issued a summons and as she was speaking to POs Brandon Reiter, John Does 1-10, and Lt. Richard Khalaf unknown officers tackled Plaintiff to the ground from behind, injuring and bruising Plaintiff without legal justification. \n\nPOs unlawfully handcuffed Plaintiff and took her to a mass arrest processing center then a precinct where she was held for approximately 6 hours. Plaintiff was arraigned the next evening on November 10, 2016. During her unlawful detainment POs called Plaintiff names such as \"a spoiled brat.\" Plaintiff also missed two work shifts and her college classes as a result of POs' actions. Plaintiff was not permitted to make any phone calls while in custody. POs provided false information in furtherance of a malicious prosecution against Plaintiff, who was wrongfully charged with obstruction and resisting among other charges. Plaintiff was compelled to return to court approximately 3 times before all charges against her were dismissed on February 14, 2017. Plaintiff's friend sat in the driver's seat of her car to prevent it from being towed, and Agent Fung called the police. Plaintiff spoke to Agent Fung and then called the police herself to explain that her car was being towed even though it was parked legally. Officers Erickson Peralta, Sarah Frankel, and Richard Khalaf arrived at the scene.
