Yingsheng, an equipment maintainer, on the subway. Conversation between the three continued as they exited the subway. While at the subway station, Defendant Woods drew his firearm and shot Plaintiff in the chest without legal justification. Plaintiff was unarmed and did not attack the other two. Plaintiff was critically injured in the liver and pancreas due to the shooting and was surgically operated on and remained in the hospital for 22 days, until January 12, 2023. During this time, he was handcuffed to the bed, although he had an open warrant on him for failure to pay a fine for driving while intoxicated two years earlier.
