After plaintiff was handcuffed, defendant Maldonado punched plaintiff multiple times in his face, mouth, and body while Rodriguez squeezed plaintiff's handcuffs and pulled his arms straight up. Defendant officers including Maldonado, Smith, and Rodriquez grabbed plaintiff by his arms and legs and dropped him on the pavement outside the bus. Multiple officers proceeded to hold plaintiff face down while defendant Maldonado punched plaintiff several more times in his bleeding face. \n\nPlaintiff was then taken to an unmarked police vehicle and tossed in the back seat by defendant officers, including but not limited to, defendants Maldonado and Rodriguez. In the car, defendant Maldonado punched plaintiff several more times as plaintiff was transported to the precinct. At the precinct, plaintiff said that he was pain and asked to sit down. In response, officers, including Maldonado, pushed plaintiff to a seated position before bringing him to his knees and pulling his sweatshirt over his face. Plaintiff complained that he could not breath but was ignored and forced to remain covered by the hood for approximately one minute. Plaintiff was then transported by ambulance to the hospital and treated for his injuries. Rodriguez conveyed false allegations of assault to the District Attorney's Office in concert with Maldonado.
