Defendant Officers then violently contorted Plaintiff’s arms behind his back to affix metal handcuffs to Plaintiff’s wrists in an excessively tightened fashion. Defendants then caused a criminal court summons to be filed against Plaintiff, which falsely accused him of committing criminal offenses. Indeed, Defendants engaged in the fabrication of false and fictitious evidence, observations, events, and occurrences, which Defendants falsely attributed to Plaintiff before forwarding to prosecutors. At no point relevant herein did the defendant police officers recover anything illegal. Further Plaintiff had not committed any crime and Defendants had no legal justification to believe that he committed a crime. Nevertheless, plaintiff was unlawfully handcuffed and unlawfully arrested by the defendant officers. Plaintiff was transported by the defendants to the 83rd precinct, where he was photographed, searched, fingerprinted, and then placed in a holding cell by the defendants. Thereafter, the defendant police officers conducted an invasive and unlawful strip search of plaintiff without reasonable suspicion or probable cause. Specifically, plaintiff was forced to take off all of his clothes and shake each piece of clothing out. After several hours in unlawful custody, plaintiff was transported from the 83rd Precinct to Brooklyn Central Booking. \n\nThe defendant police officers provided the DA with false information about the facts that allegedly led them to believe that plaintiff committed a crime. Based upon the false information provided to the DA, a prosecution was initiated against plaintiff. Specifically, the defendant police officers falsely stated to the DA that plaintiff was in possession of a controlled substance,  On May 19, 2018, at approximately 6:00 pm, after being unlawfully detained for approximately 24 hours, plaintiff was arraigned. Plaintiff was released on his own recognizance. Plaintiff was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, amongst other charges.
