Dorsett and POs Gargan and Martinez as well as several other officers in a deli nearby his home in Kings County. All officers were dressed in plainclothes.  The officers told plaintiff that there was a warrant for his arrest on an Open Container violation and placed him in handcuffs. Plaintiff was transported to the 90th precinct where he was told that there was no warrant for his arrest. Plaintiff was then transported to the 79th precinct where several officers questioned him about a shooting at the Tompkins Houses, a residential housing development in Kings County. POs falsely told plaintiff that he had been caught on video surveillance in connection to the shooting; however plaintiff was not involved in a shooting. Plaintiff refused to answer the officer's questions and invoked his right to counsel; however, he remained in police custody at the precinct until the following day at which point he was taken to Brooklyn Central Booking.
