Khalil then observed a \"frantic\" pizzeria employee yelling/screaming at the individual with the bottles. Then, three officers, including Lieutenant Jorge Tavarez, approached Khalil with guns drawn. Tavarez pointed his gun very close to Khalil's face. Khalil asked \"Why are you pointing your guns at me?\" and the officers replied \"You are talking too much.\" An officer then handcuffed Khalil. \n\nA Slice N Co employee proceeded to mistakenly tell the officers that Khalil stole water bottles from the restaurant. Officer Tavarez then beat Khalil in the body and face with his baton. As a result, Khalil began bleeding from the mouth and sustained lacerations to his ear and facial injury. He requested medical assistance but was denied such assistance. Khalil was then taken to the 6th precinct. At the precinct, defendants falsely informed members of the DA office that Khalil had committed various crimes. Khalil was then taken to Manhattan Central Booking. The assigned prosecutor then drafted up a felony complaint against Khalil, which Officer Ozuna signed. Khalil was in severe pain and sought medical treatment upon his release. He experienced \"seizures like activity\" as a result of his experience. This case was dismissed in 2011, but it was a prelude to a series of false arrests. In early June, the John Doe police officers came to Plaintiff's home and left a phone number for him to call. When Plaintiff called, he was told to come into the precinct, and he was refused any other details. A week later, on June 13, 2010, Plaintiff was stopped by unknown detectives, who asked his name and then arrested him, locking him up without explanation until the next afternoon, where he was charged with robbery, placed in a lineup, and ultimately not identified as the perpetrator. Plaintiff was then placed in custody of a homicide detective, who explained that he had been taken into custody because of his reluctance to testify in an upcoming homicide trial. \n\nOn April 12, 2012, Plaintiff learned that there was a warrant out for his arrest because a robbery complainant claimed to have identified Plaintiff from a wanted poster. Plaintiff learned from John Doe police officers told Plaintiff that the complainant had arrived at the precinct with his name and a picture of him.
