Plaintiff had moved into the premises in February 2015. Defendant officers without a warrant broke into Plaintiff’s apartment. Plaintiff returned to the subject premises to find that his room had been broken into. Plaintiff contacted the NYPD complaining of the illegal breaking and entering without a warrant. The NYPD was dispatched back to the subject premises. Plaintiff reported to the NYPD that $7,000.00 was missing from his room. On July 15, 2017 Plaintiff was falsely arrested inside his home. Plaintiff filed a petition in Brooklyn Civil Court seeking to be restored back into possession of the subject premises. On July 20, 2017, pursuant to court order, Plaintiff was placed back into possession of the subject premises as the lawful tenant upon a showing of entitlement. Due to Wong’s false police report, Plaintiff was subjected to criminal proceedings in Brooklyn Criminal Court, charged with criminal trespass.
