Plaintiff did not violate any traffic law, but, Defendant unlawfully pulled over Plaintiff's motor vehicle and detained him without any reasonable suspicion. Defendants asked Plaintiff to give him driver's license and registration for the motor vehicle and Plaintiff complied. Plaintiff was handcuffed and arrested without legal justification. Plaintiff was then transported to the 69th precinct where he was fingerprinted, photographed and put in a holding cell. On May 28, 2014 after a few hours in the precinct, Plaintiff was then transported to Brooklyn Central Booking and placed in a holding cell. Then, Defendants gave the Kings County District Attorney's Office with false, misleading or incomplete information about the facts, specifically saying that Plaintiff was in possession of forged temporary license plates and that the motor vehicle was not registered. Based on this information a prosecution was initiated against Plaintiff. Plaintiff was unlawfully detained for 24 hours on May 28, 2014, Plaintiff was arraigned in Kings County Criminal Court and charged with crimes he didnt commit. Plaintiff appeared in Court on 5 occasions before the charges were dismissed against him on September 2, 2014.
