The plaintiff, a medical student, had not committed any crime or violated the law in any way. Despite not resisting arrest, the plaintiff was placed in unreasonably tight metal handcuffs and transported to the 60th Precinct. Before being transported, the plaintiff was physically violated by a male officer who placed his hand under her brassier strap, touched her arm, and even groped her buttocks. The plaintiff expressed discomfort, but the officer continued his offensive behavior, even asking her whether she had a boyfriend. The plaintiff was maliciously prosecuted.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=x8QgFtXaHVYp00Ej52730w==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"C., M., et Al as Minors of M/n/g Boykin, Shareef, M/n/g, et al. vs City of Ny, et al.","start_date":"2022-05-26","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"515124/2022","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","summary":"On October 3, 2021, near 180 Powell Street in Kings County, NY, Plaintiffs Shareef Boykin, minor M.C., and Keemont Reynolds were unlawfully stopped, questioned, assaulted, battered, detained, and arrested in an excessive manner by defendants without any legal justification. Plaintiff Boykin was initially assaulted by six men, with more joining in, while multiple defendant officers watched without intervening. After the assault, Boykin, joined by M.C., Reynolds, and M.C.'s mother, were approached by officers and escorted to the mother's vehicle. When they couldn't find the car keys, the group walked to a train station, where officers tackled M.C., pushing him to the ground, dragging him, shoving a knee into his lower spine, and punching him multiple times. Reynolds was falsely arrested, tased multiple times, and handcuffed tightly, while Boykin was shoved against a wall and handcuffed. Officers who did not physically touch the plaintiffs failed to intervene. All plaintiffs were arrested and taken to the 73rd precinct, where they were denied medical treatment despite severe injuries, worsening their conditions. The defendants filed false charges against M.C. for disorderly conduct, Reynolds for resisting arrest, and Boykin for disorderly conduct, all of which were later dismissed. As a result, the plaintiffs suffered damages.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=weLDpuA77trYVqWmNZTkZA==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Gavin, Christina vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2020-11-02","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"521371/2020","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","officer_name":"Mamedov, Orkhan","summary":"On July 25, 2019, Officer Orkhan Mamedov threw the plaintiff to the ground, causing her substantial physical pain and other injuries.
