Officers had met with Plaintiff's separated wife numerous times in an effort to devise a plan to serve divorce papers on Plaintiff. Officers and Plaintiff's separated wife sent text messages to have Plaintiff meet. When Plaintiff arrived at the meeting spot, he was forcibly handcuffed based on allegations made on that date but which had occurred a year earlier. Plaintiff's wife and officers intentionally delayed these allegations in order to obtain a search warrant to plaintiff's residence. During the arrest, officers took Plaintiff's keys in order to gain entry to Plaintiff's apartment without Plaintiff's permission. Officers and Plaintiff's wife entered and searched the apartment. Several items were taken, including two Rolex watches, Naval uniforms, tax documents, and antique knives. Officers also seized Plaintiff's vehicle and released it to Plaintiff's separated wife without Plaintiff's permission.
