Once Kayserian came to the precinct, he was told he was not free to walk away or leave the scene and then unlawfully searched and detained. NYPD officer Chukwuemeka Okuzu, along with NYPD Police Officers Jane and John Does #1-8 (the defendants), falsely and maliciously told the DA that the Plaintiff committed burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, criminal trespass and petit larceny despite the plaintiff presenting overwhelming evidence showing the plaintiff's roommate falsely accused him of these allegations and ultimately causing the Plaintiff to be prosecuted based on those false claims. While the Plaintiff was detained at the precinct, there was not a lawful search, probable cause, or reasonable suspicion for the officers to detain the Plaintiff nor was there any evidence indicating that the Plaintiff committed a crime. However, the officers decided to arrest the plaintiff. While arresting the plaintiff, the defendants committed excess force to the plaintiff by placing the handcuffs tightly on the plaintiff's hands and injuring him. The officers also injured the plaintiff by banging his head on the police vehicle door frame while transferring him to Central Booking. The plaintiff was incarcerated for 14 Horus and later released. On September 18th, 2019, the plaintiff's charges against him were dismissed.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=/MkU6PlLiu447VqTG2k4iQ==","type":"complaint"}]},{"name":"Jones, Daniel P. vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2016-03-28","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"","docket":"002781/2016","court":"Supreme Court - Kings","officer_name":"Okuzu, Chukwuemek"},{"name":"Sage-El vs Police Officer Nieves, et al.","start_date":"2015-11-23","disposition_date":"2017-04-18","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"Zero Disposition","docket":"15CV05606","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Okuzu, Chukwuemek","summary":"(Complaint failed to mention dates of incident.)
