During the arrest, she was thrown onto the concrete subway platform by NYPD officers (Sgt. Rochie, Officer Maisonet, Officer Martinez and Officer #3214) so violently that the tissue surrounding her left knee was torn, resulting in misalignment of her kneecap. She was then handcuffed so tightly that it broke her right wrist. Despite her cries of pain, the Officers ignored her and instead tightened the handcuffs and lifted her by the restraints. At the precinct, while she remained handcuffed and injured, Officer #3214 made unwanted sexual advances towards Ms. Doughman, saying things like “I can get as close as I want, no one will hear you” and harassing her with flippant comments like \"if you are an immigrant, you're in big trouble\" while the other officers laughed. \n\nMedical attention was initially denied to Ms. Doughman. She was held in police custody for 30 hours. After the incident, her injuries required a hard cast on her wrist for six weeks and the use of a crutch for months. She has also been diagnosed with PTSD.
