While standing in a hallway waiting for his attorney, officers from the 70th Precinct in Brooklyn approached Plaintiff and asked his name. After telling officers his name, Plaintiff was handcuffed, walked outside the court building, and put in an unmarked van for 45 minutes. Plaintiff was transported to the back of the Barclays Center where he waited in the van another half hour, transferred to another van, and brought to the 70th Precinct. At the Precinct, Plaintiff was placed in a detention holding cell for 2 hours without being told why he was charged. Plaintiff was finger-printed, then placed back in the cell for another 4 to 5 hours still with no reason given as to why he was being held. Plaintiff was then transported back to Central Booking, where he remained for another 3 to 4 hours. Plaintiff eventually heard his name called and was then told he was arrested for a robbery, though Plaintiff neither participated in nor had knowledge of any robbery. Soon afterwards, Plaintiff was informed his criminal case was dismissed and he did not have to go before a judge.
