The following day (January 28, 2014), the Plaintiff was in a car accident while driving his son to school, he called an ambulance and police and was transported to hosptial. At the hospital, NYPD Defendants P.O. Diodonet and an unnamed officer (John Doe #2) arrested and placed excessively tight handcuffs on the Plaintiff while he was on a gurney. He was taken to Bronx Criminal Court and informed it was because of outstanding warrants. The Plaintiff was then handcuffed to a bench in the basement of the Court for four (4) hours. The Plaintiff was then transported to Central Booking, and placed in a cell. The Plaintiff requested, and was denied, medical attention. The Plaintiff suffered a panic attack in the cell. The Plaintiff was then returned to the Courthouse and told he had an open warrant despite no valid warrants being in existence.
