Several NYPD officers including Police Officer Tanisha Hussey (“Hussey”) and Police Officer Jamar Lamey (“Lamey”) stopped Wilfred. The officers allegedly had a warrant for Wilfred related to an arrest for riding his bicycle on a sidewalk. When Wilfred saw the police, he ran towards his apartment. One of the police officers threw a pair of handcuffs at Wilfred, hitting him on the head and causing injury. Fearful that the police would further assault him, Wilfred ran towards his apartment and banged on the door. Abdullah Brown and Raquel Reed-White were asleep inside the apartment. Brown heard banging on the door and answered the door for Wilfred. Seeing Wilfred's condition Brown called  Andrew Barrow, who is Wilfred's mother and Brown's foster mother and asked her to come home immediately. Wilfred went into his bedroom with the assistance of Brown and Reed-White. Hearing a ruckus outside, Brown opened his front door. The defendant officers Hussey and Lamey rushed in. Some of of the unnamed defendant officers, placed a gun to Reed-White and Brown's head, placed them in handcuffs and took them into the hallway. After receiving the phone call from Brown, Barrow headed home and encountered officers in the hallway of the building. Police Officers including Police Officer Marlon Brooks (“Brooks”), Police Officer Heather Busch (“Busch”), Police Officer Michael Esposito (”Esposito’), Captain Maria Ferina-Giacalone (“Ferina-Giacalone”), Lieutenant Barbara Fischer (“Fischer”) and Sergeant Steven Li (“Li”), prevented Barrow from entering her apartment due to \"an investigation\". A short while later defendants presented Barrow with a paper\nagreeing to the search of her home. Defendants told Barrow that the judge had signed a warrant and that she had to sign the paper. The officers also told Barrow that if she did not sign the document she would not be able to be a foster mother any more. In fear and under duress, Barrow signed the document. Some time later, officers escorted Brown, Reed-White and Barrow into their apartment. The officers forced plaintiffs  Reed-White, Brown and Wilfred to the floor. Plaintiffs found their apartment ransacked. Brown, who is diabetic, pled for access to her mediation and Brown begged to use the bathroom. The officers denied her access to both. In response to her request to use the bathroom, the officers pulled down her pants in the hallway and said, “pee here.” The officers left her pants down for approximately five minutes. The officers then transported plaintiffs Brown, Reed-White and Wilfred to the police precinct. Defendants falsely informed employees of the Kings County District Attorney’s Office that plaintiffs  Brown, Reed-White and Wilfred committed crimes and offenses. Plaintiffs were transported to Brooklyn Central Booking and arraigned. Plaintiff Brown’s case was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal at arraignment. Upon release Brown sought medical treatment. After numerous court appearances, Plaintiff Reed-White’s case was adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. Plaintiff Wilfred’s warrant was vacated and he received an ACD.
