At the precinct, plaintiff requested medical attention. Officers called EMS, who assessed plaintiff's injuries and transported him to Queens Hospital. At the hospital, plaintiff was treated for his injuries, including two fractured legs. That evening, plaintiff was discharged from Queens Hospital and transported to Queens Central Booking. Defendants falsely communicated to the Queens DA that plaintiff committed a crime despite knowing they lacked a legal basis to stop plaintiff and no basis to allege plaintiff committed a crime. After 24 hours in custody, plaintiff was arraigned in Queens Central Booking and bail was set. Plaintiff was unable to post bail and was remanded to the Department of Correction.
