Bailey, unable to provide the names of the individuals responsible for the shooting, was falsely charged with felony crimes, including assault and criminal possession of a weapon.\n\nBailey was detained for 30 hours before being arraigned and later remanded to Rikers Island, where he was housed with adult inmates. Despite numerous eyewitnesses corroborating that the shooting was a drive-by, and Bailey's cousin affirming that Bailey was not the shooter, the officers proceeded with the charges.
