Defendant officers then retrieved a taser that Mr. Bryant has lawfully purchased and smashed it against the ground. Officers then violently contorted his arms behind his back and applied excessively tightened metal handcuffs. Mr. Bryant was then transported to the 52nd Precinct against his will where he was held in a dirty cell before being transported to Central Booking. Plaintiff was returning from work when she stopped to speak to her friend when an unmarked vehicle stopped, and defendant officers approached them with taser and tased the plaintiff on the back of her head and spine causing her to fall unconscious to the ground. The plaintiff ran to her friends side and asked the officers to call an ambulance. However, the defendants proceeded to punch her in the face, tackle her to the ground and arrest her. Defendants unlawfully stopped, questioned, assaulted, battered, frisked and searched for contrabands, and falsely arrested Plaintiff without probable cause or legal justification. The plaintiff did not commit any crime or resist arrest at any point, nor any contraband found on plaintiff. Plaintiff was still bleeding from her lips and jaws when she was transported to the 52nd precinct where she was unlawfully photographed, fingerprinted, and detained in a holding cell. at the holding cell verbal threats were made to the plaintiff by defendant. Then after plaintiff was transported to central booking where false information was provided by the defendants to the district attorney stating plaintiff engaged in assault to the defendant officers and obstructed governmental administration. On April 8, 2020, after approximately 24 hours in unlawful custody, Plaintiff was arraigned in Bronx County Criminal Court and was released post plaintiff made bail after 48 hours in unlawful custody. On May 12, 2021, the criminal charges which were made against the plaintiff were adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. Plaintiff was fired from her job as mental health counselor because of the arrest.
