He complied and walked to the officers, who then unlawfully handcuffed and arrested plaintiff without probable cause.  Plaintiff was not committing any crimes and did not resist arrest.  Despite this, he was taken to the 73rd Precinct, where defendant officer Cullen conveyed false information to prosecutors, leading to plaintiff's prosecution for possession of a loaded rifle and ammunition.  Plaintiff remained in police custody for approximately 24 hours before his arraignment, at which time the case was adjourned.  Defendant officer Cullen subsequently falsely swore to a supporting deposition, and plaintiff remained held in police custody.  In sum, he was held in custody for nine days before making bail.  Plaintiff had to appear for over a dozen court appearances.
