When he arrived though, Instead of releasing his properties to him, defendant officers arrested Plaintiff and interrogated him asking him questions about other people and\nincidents. Plaintiff duly informed defendant officers that he was at the precinct to pick up his properties as agreed and Defendant officers in response assaulted Plaintiff forcibly grabbing, punching, pushing, pulling, kicking, and shoving him. Plaintiff sustained serious injuries from the assault and was transported to the hospital where he was seen and/or treated for his injuries. They then performed a search on him which did not recover any contraband, but they still continued to detain Plaintiff. The officers also falsely stated to the prosecutors that the plaintiff committed ‘Obstructing governmental administration in the second degree’ and ‘Resisting arrest’ and then falsified police reports, which caused Plaintiff to be criminally charged. Six months later, the court concluding that there was no probable cause to arrest and/or prosecute the plaintiff summarily dismissed the false charges levied against the plaintiff.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.468444/gov.uscourts.nyed.468444.17.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/60219237/holley-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Lane, Keith vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2014-09-04","disposition_date":"2019-05-07","payout_amount":0,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"706050/2014","court":"Supreme Court - Queens","officer_name":"Martin, John","summary":"On or about January 21, 2012, Defendant Singh struck Plaintiff's parked automobile with his automobile, which resulted in a fight wherein Singh, intoxicated, struck Plaintiff. Defendant Police Officers Bryan Marksteiner and Keith Slogick responded to the scene, but did not investigate or arrest Singh. \n\nLater, Singh filed a complaint against Plaintiff, so, on February 1, 2012, Plaintiff presented himself to the 106 Police Precinct and was arrested, placed in handcuffs, fingerprinted, and put in a holding cell. Defendant Detective John Martin interrogated Plaintiff, then falsely and maliciously accused him of assaulting Singh. Plaintiff was released after 4 hours in handcuffs. \n\nSingh filed further false information about the event, so Plaintiff was forced to appear in Criminal Court multiple times between February 10, 2012 and May 29, 2013, when he was ultimately acquitted of all charges. Plaintiff suffered mental anguish and incurred expenses for legal representation and psychological treatment as a result.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=rnGIouCWO6A12yUdDhJfog==","type":"complaint"}]},{"officer_name":"Martin, John","disposition":"Administrative Closing","start_date":"2007-03-19","disposition_date":"2015-05-08","court":"Supreme Court - Queens","docket":"005118/2007","name":"Cumberbatch, Huburn vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":0}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/U4EB-john-martin.jpg","id":"U4EB","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/U4EB"}
