Plaintiff's girlfriend began attacking Plaintiff, who called 911. When PO Kenyatta Brown arrived Plaintiff's girlfriend was walking away. Plaintiff alerted PO Brown to this and PO Brown arrested Plaintiff and placed him in handcuffs. PO Brown brought Plaintiff to a squad car and directed him to the rear seat but the front seat was fully reclined and obstructing the back seat. Regardless, PO Brown attempted to force Plaintiff into the rear seat, and when Plaintiff was unable to do so PO Brown maliciously tripped Plaintiff, who was handcuffed. Unable to protect himself Plaintiff fell to the ground and injured his left middle finger, which began bleeding. Plaintiff could not get up on his own and PO Brown left him on the ground. \n\nAn ambulance arrived and treated Plaintiff's injuries. As Plaintiff was being placed in another squad vehicle his mother provided him a copy of the Order of Protection. POs Krunal Pandhi and Gerald Diaz attempted to retrieve the copy so forcefully they dislocated Plaintiff's thumb. Plaintiff was then taken to this hospital for this second injury, where he was handcuffed so tightly he sustained bruising and lacerations as a result. Plaintiff was diagnosed with and treated for a dislocated right thumb and sprained right wrist. Plaintiff was taken to Police Service Area 3 then Central Booking.
