Shortly after, an officer entered Ali's school cafeteria, grabbed his arm without notice, kicked his legs from under him to bring him to the ground and then handcuffed Ali while pressing the weight of his knee into Ali's back.  The officer transporting Ali refused to loosen the handcuffs when he expressed they were too tight. Ali was transported to the 120th precinct then held until March 15th arraignment.
