Then defendants approached the Plaintiffs aggressively with their arms outstretched in a threatening and intimidating manner, and physically restraining the Plaintiffs, violently contorting their hands behind their back before tightly handcuffing them.  Plaintiffs sustained substantial physical pain and injuries to their back, necks, arms, hands and wrists as a result. \nDefendants then proceeded to search Plaintiffs’ and subjected them to strip-searches with attendant cavity inspections of their persons. Prior to Plaintiffs being arraigned in criminal court, defendants, filed a criminal court complaint against Plaintiffs in Bronx County Criminal Court, accusing Plaintiffs of committing various crimes vis-à-vis the doctrine of constructive possession, including Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third-Degree and other related charges. Plaintiffs were detained for (7) days, until their releases from physical custody on, or about, January 30, 2018.
