Orvieto, PO Cruz, and other unnamed officers caused Plaintiff to be imprisoned for several hours at various locations, including a police precinct. After several hours Plaintiff was released without any criminal charges. On or about that same day, Sgt. Orvieto and PO Cruz knowingly initiated false charges of child abuse and maltreatment against Plaintiff with regard to her children. On or about December 5, 2018 these charges were deemed unfounded and the proceeding against Plaintiff was terminated favorably.
