After Plaintiff told Defendants that they should just arrest the man and not hit him, one of the Defendants told Plaintiff to mind her business. As Plaintiff began to walk away from the Defendants,  one of the Defendants lunged at her, grabbed Plaintiff, and threw Plaintiff onto a nearby parled car. While throwing Plaintiff on the vehicle, one of the Defendants hit Plaintiff's knee with his own body exacerbating a pre-existing injury. The Defendants then handcuffed, patted down, and took the Plaintiff in a marked police cruiser to the 25th Precinct. At the 25th Precinct, Plaintiff was searched, placed into a holding cell, and held there for 24 hours before being taken to New York County Central Bookings. \n\nAt New York County Central Bookings, Plaintiff was searched, photographed, fingerprinted, and retinal scanned despite there being no probable cause or legal justification behind her arrest. Defendants never took Plaintiff to get any medical treatment for her injured knee. While the Plaintiff was in custody, the Defendants provided the New York County District Attorney's Office false information that the Plaintiff committed Assault in the Second Degree when she slapped two of the Defendants despite them knowing that never happened and signed a crime complaint stating such. After 24 hours, the Plaintiff was arraigned, released from Central Booking on her recognizance, and sought medical treatment for her injured knee. Because of the injury to her knee, Plaintiff had surgery at the New York Surgery Center on January 8th, 2021. On January 14th, 2021, Plaitniff's criminal charge was dismissed.
