Plaintiff was celebrating New Year’s with her friends when a large fight broke out in a part of the bar. Plaintiff and her friends complied with instructions given by employees of the bar to exit the building. Upon exiting, Plaintiff observed many NYPD officers in front of the bar. Shortly after exiting, Plaintiff was tackled from behind and placed in a bear hug by a male officer, for no apparent reason or legal basis. Plaintiff was assaulted and battered by several officers and even punched in the face, causing her to suffer an abrasion to her face, neck pain, lower back pain, bruises, and other injuries. Plaintiff was unlawfully handcuffed on the ground and pulled up to her feet by the handcuffs, causing bruises to her wrists. Plaintiff was brought to a police car, where an officer intentionally slammed the door on her leg and foot, causing her pain and injury. An officer who is not a defendant in this case intervened and stopped the officer from slamming the door against plaintiff additional times. Plaintiff was arrested in order to justify the physical injuries caused by the officers.\n\nPlaintiff was transported to the 67th Precinct where she tried, without success, to request medical attention and to file a report against the officers for excessive force. Plaintiff was placed in a holding cell containing human feces all over the floor. Plaintiff was eventually transported to Central Booking. Plaintiff saw a judge at approximately 11:00 a.m. on January 2, 2014, and was released on her own recognizance. Upon being released, Plaintiff went home and slept.
