The officers ordered him to go home, even though he was committing no offense. An unidentified officer then took hold of his tote bag and demanded to see what was in it. The officer refused to return the bag and to date, Plaintiff has never received his bag back. Plaintiff attempted to extricate himself from the situation and proceeded in a different direction, but an officer advised another to \"cuff him\" and shortly thereafter Plaintiff was tackled. Plaintiff then felt a series of blows upon his back, legs, and hips by officers using kicks and baton strikes. After the assault, Plaintiff was handcuffed, and his pleas for medical attention were ignored. Plaintiff was detained until the next day and was issued an appearance ticket for Failure to Disperse. The action was later dismissed. Plaintiff sustained cuts to his wrists and elbows, injuries to his neck and back, severe damage to one vertebra, multiple disc herniations and bulges in his back, a torn ACL and Meniscus in his right knee, a large hematoma on his right thigh, injury to his right hip and multiple torn ligaments in his right ankle and damage to the tendons in his right elbow.
