The defendants then arrested Plaintiff William Garcia despite there being no probable cause. In arresting Plaintiff Garcia, Defendants slammed him onto the floor, violently twisted his arms behind his back, and applied the handcuffs to his wrists in an extremely painful and excessive manner. Though Plaintiff requested that Defendants loosen the handcuffs, Defendants ignored the request, squeezed the handcuffs further, and caused Plaintiff Garcia's wrists to sustain contusions, swelling, and loss of feeling. Defendants then forced Plaintiff Garcia to stand up by grabbing his arms, illegally interrogated him, and transported him against his will to the NYPD 5th Precinct. At the precinct, Plaintiff Garcia faced several invasive scans, fingerprinting, a strip search, and another illegal interrogation. Defendants then moved Plaintiff Garcia to Central Bookings, where he remained until his release two days later on May 7th, 2020, at 11:00 am. At the time of his release, Plaintiff was not charged with any crime and immediately sought medical attention for the serious and permanent injuries sustained to his back, left shoulder, and ribs.\n\nOn May 5th, 2020, between 12:25 and 2:00 am outside the 225 Second Avenue vicinity, Plaintiff Chiclana asked Defendants where they were taking Plaintiff Garcia. Defendants then arrested Plaintiff Chiclana in spite of them knowing that she did not commit a crime nor was there any probable cause to arrest her. However, Defendants violently slammed Plaintiff Chiclana to the ground and then forcefully and painfully applied handcuffs to her wrists. Even though Plaintiff Chiclana requested Defendants loosen her handcuffs due to their tightness, Defendants ignored her requests, intentionally squeezed the handcuffs further, and then violently punched, kicked, and stepped on Plaintiff Chichlana. Defendants then forced Plaintiff Chiclana up by grabbing her arms, illegally searched and seized Plaintiff Chiclana's personal property despite no reasonable suspicion or probable cause, and illegally interrogated her. Defendants took Plainitff Chiclana to the NYPD 25th precinct where she was subjected to a retina scan, fingerprinting, a strip search, and an illegal interrogation. Defendants later transferred Plaintiff Chiclana to Central Bookings, where Defendants maliciously provided false statements to the District Attorney's office and caused her to be charged with a crime. The plaintiff was released on May 8th, 2020, three days after her false arrest. Plaintiff Chiclana's charges were dismissed on January 29th, 2021. Ultimately, the Plaintiffs believe that they were solely targeted by the Defendants due to them being Hispanic. As a result of the Defendants' actions caused both Plaintiffs deprivation of liberty as well as reputational harm, loss of earnings and potential earnings, physical injury, and severe, and permanent emotional distress such as embarrassment, fear, humiliation, traumatization, frustration, anxiety, and extreme inconvenience.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=A2oD2SWGZcu5cl1yd6ymMQ==","type":"complaint"}]}],"image":"https://www.50-a.org/images/officer/VHKM-moises-ramos.jpg","payroll":{"salary":"109352","regular":"108510","overtime":"31059","other":"24847","total":"164417"},"id":"VHKM","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/VHKM"}
