The protestors were aggressively shouting at plaintiff so plaintiff shouted back and left the park.  Plaintiff then got in a dispute with more protestors outside the park.  Captain Christopher Treubig approached plaintiff from behind, grabbed plaintiff, and punched him in the head.  Lt. Paul Jurgens, P.O. Terence Williams, P.O. Paul Rivera, and P.O. Stephen Cambria arrived at the scene and forced plaintiff to the ground.  The officers held plaintiff down by his arms, legs, and upper body and Captain Treubig repeatedly punched plaintiff in the head.  All the officers continued to repeatedly punch plaintiff in the head and torso.  P.O. Rivera then kicked plaintiff multiple times in the ribs.  They handcuffed plaintiff extremely tightly, and ignored plaintiff's requests to loosen them.  Plaintiff was treated for extensive injuries in the hospital and then taken to Central Booking where he was charged with assault and resisting arrest. Plaintiff was targeted by the officers for his status as a Hispanic or Latino male.
