A local handyman saw the men outside the house and tried to stop them, and one of them swung a copper pipe at the handyman with this right hand.  Neither of the two men was plaintiff.  Detective Brianna Constantino conducted virtually no investigation and conducted an unconstitutionally suggestive photo array in which plaintiff appeared twice.  Detective Constantino pressured the witness into picking plaintiff from the photo array.  Then on September 8, 2014, Det. Constantino arrested plaintiff in his residence.  Plaintiff's right hand is missing two fingers, a third finder is permanently curled up, and the remaining two fingers do not function normally.  Det. Constantino noticed this but proceeded to arrest plaintiff even though it was clear he was not physically capable of committing the crime in question.  Plaintiff was placed in a lineup at the precinct eight hours after the arrest, and Det. Constantino violated lineup procedures, as none of the fillers in the lineup resembled plaintiff in age, statute, or build or matched the general appearance the witness described.  The witness picked plaintiff from the lineup.  Det. Constantino sweared out a false criminal complaint, lied to the prosecutor, and concealed material exculpatory evidence (the unconstitutional photo array and state of plaintiff's hand in particular).  The prosecutor learned during trial what Det. Constantino had concealed.
