They did not have probable cause to arrest Plaintiff or possess information that would lead a reasonable officer to believe probable cause existed to arrest Plaintiff. Thereafter, Plaintiff was transported to a nearby police precinct, subjected to an invasive strip search and charged with sale and possession of controlled substances. In connection with Plaintiff’s arrest, defendant officer filled out false and/or misleading police reports and forwarded them to prosecutors as the DAs office. As a result of his arrest, Plaintiff spent 24 hours in police custody and spent approximately thirty months making court appearances before he was acquitted of all charges on October 10, 2013.
