The officers handcuffed Plaintiff, then pushed her on to the sidewalk, causing injuries to both her knees. Plaintiff did not receive medical attention. She was instead taken into police custody and forced to walk on her injuries knees. Eventually Plaintiff was taken to a hospital for emergency room treatment for her knees. Upon release, Plaintiff was placed in leg shackles by NYPD officers—including Williams Jones, David Mancuso, and Sergeant Joseph Mule—which caused pain on top of the existing injuries. Plaintiff informed the officers that she was having trouble walking, but the officers still made her walk up stairs. Plaintiff felt pressure on her shoulders and then fell face forward on to the steps, striking her head on the steps.
