Plaintiff was ordered to wait in the 32nd precinct vestibule for which she complied. Shortly thereafter, Plaintiff's Aunt arrived at the precinct and demanded to see her son. The Aunt was denied access and was also ordered to wait in the vestibule. As the Plaintiff guided her Aunt to the vestibule, Police Officers Mendoza (Shield # 8833) and Stovall battered the Aunt, who was in her late sixties and just had hip replacement. Police Officer Mendoza then tackled Plaintiff Boykin to the ground and placed one wrist in handcuffs while yelling \"Stop resisting.\" Plaintiff Boykin never resisted arrest, and was in fear and crying profusely. The Officers then handcuffed Plaintiff, and illegally searched, detained, and held Plaintiff in a holding cell for approximately four hours. Plaintiff suffered injury and pain to her wrists, neck, back, and forearm, as well as lasting psychological injuries. Officers ignored and refused Plaintiff's multiple requests for medical attention. \nMendoza issued a Summons against Plaintiff for the purpose of criminally prosecuting Plaintiff. Mendoza, and the other officers, knew or should have known that the Summons were false. As a result of the false summons issued against Plaintiff, Plaintiff was compelled to attend court appearances on numerous dates until April 3, 2013, when all charges against her were dismissed. Plaintiff was, and is, at all times, innocent of all charges and committed no crime.","documents":[{"url":"https://iapps.courts.state.ny.us/nyscef/ViewDocument?docIndex=K1t7IRxMIqvBDJE5Zapvtw==","type":"complaint"}]},{"officer_name":"Mendoza, Janielle","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2012-07-06","disposition_date":"2013-04-11","court":"U.S. District Court - Southern District NY","docket":"12CV05208","name":"Pooler, Shakeema vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":20000,"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/12961396/pooler-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Mendoza, Janielle","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2011-03-03","disposition_date":"2013-05-09","court":"Supreme Court - New York","docket":"102443/2011","name":"Barrass, John J. vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":20000}],"documents":[{"url":"https://www.documentcloud.org/documents/24441170-bronx-notified-officers-list-edited_redacted-redacted_redacted","type":"credibility-finding"}],"id":"W8W7","url":"https://www.50-a.org/officer/W8W7"}
