Defendant officers approached plaintiff without legal justification to attempt to sell an item of jewelry using deceptive means. Plaintiff went to print out a document requiring a signature and oath indicating the jewelry was not stolen. Before plaintiff could return upstairs, officers stopped, detained, and falsely accused plaintiff of illegally purchasing an item of stolen jewelry.\n\nPlaintiff could not understand officer's accusations. She complained of excessively tightened handcuffs but officers refused to loosen them. Plaintiff was transported to the precinct where she was illegally interrogated without presence of counsel, searched, and detained for 6 hours. Officers later fabricated evidence and observations to support their accusations.
