Yael Magori (Shield No. 942099) arrived and entered his home in response to a call about a verbal dispute at the residence. Khafif answered a phone call from a family member on a cell phone and told them police were at his home. An officer snatched the phone away from him, and after Khafif asked for an explanation for this action, the defendant officers pushed him twice, causing him to fall off the step he was standing on. Next, four to six officers pushed Khafif down and arrested him using tight handcuffs. Mr. Khafif was then pushed against a brick wall, which caused him to hit his head and be knocked unconscious. Mr. Khafif was then dragged by the officers from his property onto the sidewalk, where officers initially refused to let a Hatzolah ambulance take Mr. Khafif to the hospital but eventually allowed a FDNY ambulance to do so. Defendant officers falsely informed the Kings County DA that they observed plaintiff commit the crimes of obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.419648/gov.uscourts.nyed.419648.18.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/7418503/khafif-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"name":"Fletcher, Lee vs City of New York, et al.","start_date":"2015-06-24","disposition_date":"2016-09-01","payout_amount":12000,"disposition":"Settlement","docket":"15CV03580","court":"U.S. District Court - Eastern District NY","officer_name":"Chabanov, Felix","summary":"Plaintiff was sitting on her stairs talking on the phone when defendant officers pulled up, asked her for ID, and alleged that she was drinking alcohol in public.
