After Plaintiff told Officer O’Brien that he had no right to demand his identification, O’Brien placed Plaintiff in an illegal sleeper hold until Plaintiff lost consciousness and then beat Plaintiff, causing injuries to his face, which required stitches. Plaintiff was transported to the 28th Precinct, bleeding profusely, and was thrown into a cell without medical attention. After eventually obtaining medical treatment at Harlem Hospital, Plaintiff was falsely charged with Trespass and Disorderly Conduct.
