Ms. Lopez went to the door and explained that there were no problems and her daughters did the same; the police nonetheless entered. P.O. Rackoff cuffed Ms. Lopez tightly while her daughters taped the incident. P.O. Hall removed the children into a bedroom, seized the cell phone, and erased the video. The P.O.s searched the entire apartment for no apparent reason, indicating that they did not need a warrant. Ms. Lopez requested that her tight cuffs be loosened as they were painful; in response, P.O. McCarthy tightened them further. After the search, the P.O.s found no weapons or contraband; P.O. McCarthy falsely stated that Ms. Lopez was drunk, and the officers called for an ambulance. \n\nThe officers took Ms. Lopez to Queens Hospital against her will in cuffs. At the hospital, they made false statements to her medical provider. 7 hours later, Ms. Lopez was released from the hospital and her children were released to another family member. The officers furthered caused the Administration for Children's Services to arrive at Ms. Lopez's home unannounced; their involvement was terminated when the officer's allegations were shown to be unfounded.","documents":[{"url":"https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.nyed.401474/gov.uscourts.nyed.401474.20.0.pdf","type":"complaint"}],"url":"https://www.courtlistener.com/docket/6261412/lopez-v-the-city-of-new-york/"},{"officer_name":"Klein, Matthew C.","disposition":"Settlement","start_date":"2016-08-17","disposition_date":"2019-05-06","court":"Supreme Court - Queens","docket":"709517/2016","name":"Oh, Myungja vs City of New York, et al.","payout_amount":95000},{"name":"Peterson v.
