She was subsequently detained at Rikers Island Correctional Facility without cause or justification for several weeks.\n\nDuring the process of proceedings in Family Court, Plaintiff informed ACS Social Workers that she was pregnant. The social workers advised Plaintiff that ACS would take away her baby from her upon the child's birth and that she should have an abortion. Despite finding no such firearms or narcotics, Plaintiff was nonetheless arrested for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. In connection with this arrest, Defendant police officers filled out false and misleading police reports and forwarded them to prosecutors in the Queens County District Attorney’s Office. On December 19, 2012, Plaintiff was thereafter arraigned.
