Michael on her way to school. Plaintiff had just dropped off her cell phone at a bodega since her school did not permit cell phones. After examining Plaintiff's student ID, Officer Michael told her to get into the police van and waited. Plaintiff told Officer Michael that she was not late for school, yet the van still took her to school. After she passed the metal detectors and started walking fast to her class, Officer Michael called to her to go to the lunchroom instead. He then grabbed her on her neck and pushed her into the lunchroom, where he grabbed her and threw her to the lunch table. He also pulled Plaintiff's hair. Officer Michael took Plaintiff to a back room in the dean's office, picked her up by her neck and threw her into a chair. Then, she was taken to the precinct and cuffed to a bar for more than five hours before being taken to Central Booking, where she was placed in a cell overnight. Officer Michael falsely claimed that Plaintiff swung her belt at him and resisted arrest. Eventually, the case was dismissed. As a result of Officer Michael's misconduct, Plaintiff had a wound on her face and was bleeding.
